Our School

Riverside Elementary School is located in the heart of Evans, Georgia near the Savannah River in Columbia County. It is one of the county's newer schools, opening its doors in August of 1993. Currently, the school serves approximately 950 students in grades pre-kindergarten through five. One special education class is housed at the school as well. Riverside is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). There are some pupils who are participants in Columbia County's gifted program. The majority of the students are from traditional families with a small percentage being members of nontraditional families. Riverside is fortunate to have a diverse pupil population which includes Caucasians, African American, Asian, Hispanic, and multi-racial children. The school has an extremely supportive and active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), a strong Partners in Education (PIE) program and a mentoring program.
