BUILDING PROGRAM
Project Update.   Mr. Price updated the Board on the various building projects going on within the county: painting at Greenbrier Elementary, EHS Re-roof/HVAC & lighting upgrade, River Ridge Elementary, Evans Middle, and the New Administration Building.
Request by Architect for Discussion on Contract.
Mr. David Harley, architect for the new administration building, expressed concern over not being paid for his services. After disputing reports to the contrary, Mr. Harley has not abandoned this project and remains the architect of record. He is committed to  finish both projects (Evans Middle & New Admin. Bldg.).  The Board agreed to a preliminary settlement to increase the state's cost of limitations for the New Admin. Bldg. to $3.57 million as offered by the Superintendent in late March.  The Board also agreed to issue payment on that basis to Mr. Harley accordingly.  The Board expects to complete a review of Mr. Harley 's concerns and bring final closure at its May 3 budget study meeting.
