Decision Made On River Ridge Elementary Pre-K Drawing
Results Accepted on March 22 Drawing
In a Special Called Meeting by the Columbia County Board of Education, the Board approved to accept the results of the original lottery held on March 22 and take the necessary steps to prohibit any card alterations in future pre-k drawings.
“Since many parents affected have immediately surrendered privately secured spots for their children, any attempt to correct the pre-k drawing would create new additional problems and fairness issues, “said Tommy Price, Superintendent of Schools.
A letter will go out today to parents of students who were at the original lottery held on March 22 indicating their status for registration or waiting list number.
