Columbia County School System offers a cancer
policy through AFLAC. Supplemental Benefits pay directly to you
regardless of any other insurance coverage to help offset out-of -pocket
expenses. These benefits can be individually selected (also family coverage is
available) to meet your needs in the event of diagnosed cancer.
AFLAC Cancer plans are offered on a voluntary
basis. Some of the benefits offered are as follows:
PERSONAL CANCER PROTECTOR

Pays $1,500 - $5,000 for initial
diagnosis of internal cancer

Optional building benefit rider

Pays $200 - $300 every day
someone is in the hospital being treated for cancer

Pays up to $200 - $300 every day
someone receives radiation/chemo or experimental treatment

Transportation benefits allows
you to travel to best cancer care hospitals in the country

Pays $40 - $75 wellness benefit
for each covered family member each year

Pays $10,000 for bone marrow
transplant

Pays second surgical opinion

Pays surgery benefit from $95 -
$5,000 including skin cancer
