AFLAC Summary of Benefits

Columbia County School System offers a cancer policy through AFLAC.  Supplemental Benefits pay directly to you regardless of any other insurance coverage to help offset out-of -pocket expenses.  These benefits can be individually selected (also family coverage is available) to meet your needs in the event of diagnosed cancer.

AFLAC Cancer plans are offered on a voluntary basis.  Some of the benefits offered are as follows:

PERSONAL CANCER PROTECTOR

  • Pays $1,500 - $5,000 for initial diagnosis of internal cancer
     

  • Optional building benefit rider
     

  • Pays $200 - $300 every day someone is in the hospital being treated for cancer
     

  • Pays up to $200 - $300 every day someone receives radiation/chemo or experimental treatment
     

  • Transportation benefits allows you to travel to best cancer care hospitals in the country
     

  • Pays $40 - $75 wellness benefit for each covered family member each year
     

  • Pays $10,000 for bone marrow transplant
     

  • Pays second surgical opinion
     

  • Pays surgery benefit from $95 - $5,000 including skin cancer
