Our School

Riverside Elementary School is located in the heart of Evans, Georgia near the Savannah River in Columbia County. Riverside opened its doors in August of 1993. Currently, the school serves approximately 750 students in grades kindergarten through five.  Riverside is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  The majority of the students are from traditional families with a small percentage being members of nontraditional families. Riverside is fortunate to have a diverse pupil population which includes Caucasians, African American, Asian, Hispanic, and multi-racial children. The school has an extremely supportive and active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), a strong Partners in Education (PIE) program and a mentoring program.

The mission of Riverside Elementary School is to guide students' development so they may become productive citizens in today's world.
